GeoVanna Gonzalez: Flowing Pathways

GeoVanna Gonzalez: Flowing Pathways
The Museum of Art and Design (MOAD) at Miami Dade College (MDC) proudly presents GeoVanna Gonzalez: Flowing Pathways, the third installment of the MOAD Pavilions, a series dedicated to public art installations. Opening on November 22, 2024, during the Miami Book Fair and running through December 15, 2024, this installation invites viewers to reflect on their journeys and the experiences that shape them.
Flowing Pathways features interconnected geometric frames that evoke both urban structures and the fluid shapes of rivers and waterways. This contrast between rigidity and fluidity fosters a thought-provoking experience, encouraging visitors to explore and reconsider their connections to space and place. Drawing inspiration from the historical and cultural significance of rivers in Miami and the Caribbean, Gonzalez creates a contemplative space that emphasizes reflection and connectivity to our shared environments.
PRIVATE INVITATION: An RSVP is required for the VIP reception and live performance on December 6, 2024, from 9 to 11 a.m. at MDC Wolfson Campus, 300 N.E. Second Ave.
