In September 2024, Lafuente showcased her work at World Fashion Week® and the World Fashion Exhibition® in Shanghai, where she received a prestigious award for her contributions to sustainability. She also made history as the first woman to receive the Designer of the Year 2022 award from Nebrija University.

A pioneer in eco-friendly fashion, Lafuente was the first to present a collection featuring PEFC-certified fabrics at the United Nations High-Level Political Forum (HLPF).
