Thom Browne

Thom Browne is a globally recognized brand renowned for challenging and modernizing today’s uniform. Known for his unique ability to question traditional proportions, Browne’s designs embody a true American sensibility rooted in quality craftsmanship and precise tailoring.

Starting in 2003 with just five suits in a small, by-appointment shop in New York City’s West Village, Browne’s business quickly expanded to include ready-to-wear collections, as well as accessories and fragrances for men (2004), women (2011), and children (2021). His collections are celebrated for their conceptual runway presentations, which have gained global attention for their thought-provoking and dramatic themes.

In 2023, Browne became the Chairman of the Council of Fashion Designers of America. His accolades include the CFDA Menswear Designer of the Year Award (2006, 2013, 2016), the GQ Designer of the Year (2008), and the Cooper Hewitt National Design Award (2012). His designs are featured in renowned museums worldwide, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art, and the Victoria & Albert Museum.

Today, the Thom Browne brand is available in over 300 department stores and specialty boutiques across 40 countries and through 105 retail stores globally, with flagships in key cities such as New York, London, Milan, Tokyo, and Shanghai. Since 2018, Thom Browne has been part of the Zegna Group, retaining 90% ownership.
