V-U2 An Immersive Concert Film at Sphere Las Vegas

The unique cinematic experience is available exclusively at Sphere. Directed by Morleigh Steinberg and The Edge, the film captures the groundbreaking U2:UV show, which entertained over 700,000 fans from 100+ countries during 40 sold-out performances from September 2023 to March 2024. More than just a recording, V-U2 lets audiences feel as though they are part of the live concerts.

This is the first film created entirely using Big Sky, a revolutionary ultra-high-resolution camera system developed by Sphere Entertainment. Big Sky cameras captured the band with unmatched scale, sharpness, and clarity, bringing the concert to life in a way never seen before. V-U2 utilizes Sphere’s cutting-edge immersive technologies, including the 160,000-square-foot display plane—the world’s highest-resolution LED screen at 16k x 16k resolution; Sphere Immersive Sound by HOLOPLOT, delivering flawless audio to every seat; and haptic seating, which adds vibrations to let guests physically ‘feel’ the experience. These innovations are combined in V-U2 to create a true “you are there” sensation for viewers.
