Vancouver Fashion Week Day 1

Vancouver Fashion Week (VFW) is set to commence its Fall/Winter 2025 season on Tuesday, April 8, 2025, at the David Lam Hall, Chinese Cultural Centre of Greater Vancouver. Renowned as North America’s second-largest fashion event, VFW continues to champion diversity and innovation by featuring both local and international designers.​​

Schedule for Day 1:

Show 1:

• Doors Open: 5:30 PM​
• 6:20 PM – Ay Lelum: This second-generation Coast Salish design house from Nanaimo, B.C., will present a collection that seamlessly merges cultural heritage with contemporary fashion. Ay Lelum’s designs incorporate traditional Coast Salish art, reflecting their dedication to preserving and celebrating Indigenous culture.​
• 6:30 PM – DUNNE CLIFF: Founded by Canadian designer Allison Dunne, DUNNE CLIFF is a conceptual knitwear brand that intertwines heritage and humor. The collections often explore themes related to philosophy, technology, and art, with influences from Dunne’s Shetland, Scotland ancestry.​

• Doors Open: 6:30 PM​
• 7:00 PM – Bird’s Luck: Details about this showcase are forthcoming.​
• 7:10 PM – maison de chatnoir: Established by designers Noir and Macoto, maison de chatnoir introduces “Naughty Style,” blending the curiosity of childhood with British fashion from the 1930s to 1960s. Their collection features original patterns and playful designs, emphasizing meticulous craftsmanship.​
• 7:20 PM – Reihani Design: Led by Vancouver-based designer Afsaneh Reihanifard, Reihani Design embodies creativity and elegance. With experience showcasing in various countries, Reihanifard’s collections reflect her passion for fashion and dedication to timeless design.​
