On Friday, April 11, 2025, Vancouver Fashion Week continues its showcase of innovative designers from around the globe. The day’s events are divided into two parts, each featuring a series of runway shows that highlight diverse fashion perspectives.​

Part 1: Doors Open at 4:30 PM

Show I

• 5:00 PM – Iskwew Maskosis : Amanda Longmore, hailing from Enoch Cree Nation in Alberta, presents her brand Iskwew Maskosis. Inspired by her daughter’s passion for Pow Wow dancing, Amanda’s designs fuse vintage aesthetics with Indigenous artistry, incorporating fabrics created by Indigenous artists like Jackie Traverse and Shannon Gustafson. Her creations, which she describes as Indigenous Couturier, aim to resonate with both Indigenous and non-Indigenous audiences, celebrating cultural heritage through fashion.​

• 5:10 PM – Dress Cozy : Founded by Carol Botelho, Dress Cozy offers garments that serve as both a refuge and a revelation. Carol’s designs challenge fleeting trends, emphasizing comfort, purpose, and authenticity. Her work reflects a belief that fashion is not merely adornment but a companion in the journey of self-reinvention, inviting women to find solace and expression in every piece.​

• 5:20 PM – Cassandra Bramasco : Los Angeles-based designer Cassandra Bramasco introduces her brand, Bramasco, which epitomizes tailored glamour. A graduate of Otis College of Art and Design, Cassandra draws inspiration from historical costuming and modern tailoring. Her focus is on creating custom, made-to-order styles that blend classic elegance with contemporary sophistication.​

• 5:50 PM – Astrophe Apparel : An 18-year-old award-winning designer leads Astrophe Apparel, a project that merges art with innovative fashion design. The upcoming collection, “04-A (Artisanal),” delves into the concept of war, using fashion as a medium to craft unique narratives. Through historical references, distinctive garment construction, and inventive storytelling, the collection offers an impactful experience that extends beyond the garments themselves.​

• 6:00 PM – Melissa Giraldo – COLEGIATURA : Ginnet Melissa, a final-year student at Colegiatura Colombiana, specializes in modular fashion. She is dedicated to revolutionizing fashion consumption by exploring sustainable and versatile solutions that benefit both the environment and consumers. Her work reflects a commitment to innovation in the evolving landscape of fashion.​

• 6:10 PM – Isabella Jimenez – COLEGIATURA : A graduate of Colegiatura Colombiana, Isabella Jimenez’s designs delve into feminine sensitivity, mystery, and magic. Passionate about detail from construction to conceptualization, she creates garments that forge deep connections. Her creative process is enriched by poetry and metaphor, transforming fantasies into pieces with compelling narratives.​

Part 2: Doors Open at 6:00 PM

Show III

• 6:50 PM – Augusta Fashion & Textiles : Augusta Fashion & Textiles presents a collection that embodies the fusion of traditional techniques with contemporary design. Their work emphasizes sustainability and craftsmanship, showcasing pieces that are both innovative and rooted in heritage.​

• 7:00 PM – Julie Ehme : French designer Julie Mouly-Pommerol, founder of the brand JULIE EHME, brings her collection “Métamorphose” to the runway. A finalist at the International Festival of Fashion, Photography, and Accessories of Hyères, Julie’s designs are influenced by her father’s passion for fashion and photography. Her work seamlessly blends personal history with modern aesthetics.​

• 7:10 PM – Faun Studio : Based in Calgary, Faun Studio is a conscientious fashion brand founded by Marisa P. Clark. Committed to sustainability, Faun utilizes eco-friendly materials and upholds ethical labor practices throughout its supply chain. Marisa’s designs have graced the runways of New York, Paris, Milan, and Vancouver Fashion Weeks, reflecting a dedication to positive change within the fashion industry.​
