Bora Aksu

Bora Aksu founded his eponymous label in 2002 after completing an MA in Fashion Design at Central Saint Martins, where his collection was purchased by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana as inspirational pieces. Aksu quickly gained recognition for his singular approach to occasion wear, securing NEWGEN funding for eight consecutive seasons and presenting at London Fashion Week for the past 14 years.

Aksu’s designs fuse romantic sensibility with raw elegance, featuring delicately textured fabrics and whimsical detailing. His signature twist on tailoring incorporates darker, more storied elements, blending decorative shapes with a translucent use of color. Drawing inspiration from his Turkish roots, Aksu’s designs showcase handcrafted elements, giving his collections a demi-couture quality that distinguishes his work in the fashion industry.

The label has expanded significantly in Asia, with 61 boutiques across the Asia Pacific region, including a flagship store in Beijing. Aksu’s designs have graced celebrities such as Keira Knightley, Zendaya, and Marion Cotillard, cementing his reputation for exquisite craftsmanship and a distinctive take on femininity.
