Ingrid Kraftchenko

Ingrid Kraftchenko
Ingrid Kraftchenko, a British artist, architect, and fashion designer, is renowned for her radical approach to luxury fashion and political body-politics. Her label, established in 2020, challenges the norms of modern fashion by integrating architecture, performance, and sustainable design. Kraftchenko’s first London Fashion Week presentation, DOLLHOUSE – The Body of Architecture ’24, will take place in Dalston at her transformed Victorian factory, creating an immersive experience of her artistic vision.
The dollhouse concept draws inspiration from Henrik Ibsen’s play, examining the artificiality of gender and the role of fashion as resistance. Kraftchenko’s collections fuse fetishized femininity with military and medical aesthetics, creating dynamic urban protection uniforms. The show will feature live installations, choreography, and psycho-political performances exploring the intersection of fashion, shelter, and control in a post-industrial context.
Kraftchenko’s work, which uses deadstock and sustainable materials, aims to redefine fashion through radical craftsmanship and a bold exploration of body, space, and societal structures.
