At the upcoming Tokyo Fashion Week, the brand will present its latest collection, embodying a rebellious punk spirit and an unending curiosity for the unknown. Established in 2021 by designer Tokio Kimura, the brand is renowned for its hands-on craftsmanship and innovative menswear designs.

Born in 1985 in Chiba Prefecture, Kimura graduated from Bunka Fashion College and gained diverse experience across apparel manufacturers and leather craft companies. His journey included roles as an assistant and work in vintage clothing repair and remaking, culminating in the launch of his eponymous brand, tokio, in the Spring/Summer 2021 season.

In recognition of his avant-garde approach, Kimura was named a finalist in the 2024 Tokyo Fashion Award. Building on this momentum, the brand is set to showcase its collection at an exhibition in Paris in January 2025, marking a significant milestone in the brand’s international expansion.
